For 32 years, our volunteers have not only been the face, but also represented the heart and soul of the West Side Catholic Center. It is only through the tireless efforts of over 400 volunteers each month that the Center is able to respond to the community’s needs for food, clothing and shelter.
Just as the apostles gathered at Pentecost, we invited you to help us continue the mission of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit, all of us are called to be the heart, hands, and voice of Jesus in our world. By gathering and working together, we have an opportunity to speak the voice of love and welcome.
The West Side Catholic Center offers volunteer opportunities for young and old, individuals and groups. We have many different kinds of service opportunities, such as:
Cooking and serving lunch
Sorting, folding, and distributing clothes & household goods
Playing with children
Answering phone calls
Preparing mailings
Helping with special events
And any special talents or skills you might want to offer!
If you are interested in learning more about volunteering or offering your time, please contact Terrie Garr, Director of Volunteer Services, by email or phone (216) 631-4741 ext. 122.
